Dr Bruno Silva - Principle dentist

Dr Nuno Cintra, MSc - Oral Surgeon

Dr Cintra is originally from Portugal, where he also studied to gain a DDS in dentistry. He then attended the Eastman Dental Institute - University College of London to study for a Master of Science in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Specializing in oral implantology Dr Cintra performed surgery at The Malo Clinic in Lisbon from 1999 - 2010. Along with 13 years of exclusivity in oral surgery and implantology he has lectured various courses since 1999. Dr Cintra is also a fellow of the European Board of Oral Surgery from EFOSS.

Mr Christian Surwald - Maxillo Facial and Oral Surgeon

Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at East Sussex Hospitals and Honorary Consultant at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital Trusts, trained in Dentistry and Medicine at the University of Freiburg i. Br./ Germany. Subsequent on qualifying he undertook Post-Graduate Training in General Surgery, prior to commencing his Specialist Training as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon on the South Thames rotation.

Christian's specialist clinical interests comprise oral surgery and dental implantology, where he considers his job to be about helping people to achieve a better quality of life by an understanding of their problems and a thoughtful application of surgical techniques based on a broad experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr Ana Sousa Surwald - Dentist

Ana graduated in 2002 as a dentist from Instituto Superior Ciências da Saúde- Norte in Portugal. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Oral Rehabilitation and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics (2005) and a Doctorate in Biomechanics of the Maxilla (2009) from the University of Barcelona. She worked since 2006 in private and NHS practices in Sussex and Surrey. Ana’s main interest is prosthodontics rehabilitations, including implant prosthodontics.

Dr Uma Gopinath

Dr Gopinath graduated in India in 2000. Dr Gopinath obtained her GDC registration in 2009 and finished her MJDF Royal College of Surgeons Part 1 exams. Dr Gopinath assists Dr Silva with implant surgical procedures.

Dr Amal Barbandi 

Dr Barbandi is a creative caring dentist enjoying the artistic and scientific aspect of restorative dentistry. Dr  Barbandi passed a Statuory GDC exam in 2002 and completed an Msc in London.  She has completed several advanced courses in restorative dentistry in France,  San Francisco and the UK. Dr Barbandi is very happy to be a part of our forward thinking talented and caring dental team at Brighton Implant Clinic.

Dr Irene Marin Gomez

Irene graduated as a dentist in 2009 from the university of Murcia in Spain. After some time working as a general dentist she moved to the UK. At Brighton Implant Clinic she hopes to develop her career as a dental implant professional. Irene assists Dr Silva with surgical implant procedures.

Rebecca Levine - Hygienist

Becky completed a Diploma in Dental Hygiene 1996 and  has worked with Dr Silva in our practices since we opened in 2002. She has an indepth knowledge in treating gum disease. She is an invaluable member of our team and is always motivated in looking after our patients.Becky graduated from Kings College London

Ewa Ginter - Nurse

Ewa assists in Dental Implant Surgery and restorative dentistry. Ewa joined Brighton Implant Clinic in 2009 and works exclusively with  implant procedures. Ewa also has  a masters degree in environmental engineering.

Hanna Badzinska - Nurse

Hanna assists in dental implant surgery and restorative dentistry. Hannah has always wanted to persue a career in dentistry . Hannah  joined Brighton Implant clinic in 2009 and works exclusively with implant procedures. In her spare time Hanna loves to cook Japanese cuisine.

Malgorzata Mieczkowska - Nurse

Malgorzata assists  as a nurse mainly in restorative dentistry. Malgorzata joined Brighton Implant Clinic in 2009, and also oversees the management of the central sterilisation room. 

Lisa Sutton - Nurse

Lisa assists in dental implant surgery and restorative dentistry. Originally from Brighton, Lisa studied her A levels in Psychology, PE and Human Biology and is a qualified fitness instructor, she has recently returned from a year travelling the world. Lisa joined BIC in 2009.

Beata Mieczkowska - Nurse

Beata assists in dental implant surgery and restorative dentistry. Beata works mainly in restorative dentistry,  Beata always dreamed to help people care for a healthy and beautiful smile.

Maria Gortych - Nurse

Maria joined the practice in July 2010. Before working with us she spent two and a half years working and travelling in the USA.

Jola Broniszewska - Sterilisation nurse

Jola has worked as a nurse and sterlisation nurse for 28 years. She joined Brighton Implant Clinic in June 2010 and loves what she does. In her spare time Jola likes reading.

Jacek Ziolkowski - Senior Lab Technician

Jacek studied to be a dental technician at University before spending fourteen years perfecting his skills. He has been at the Brighton Implant Clinic since we opened in 2009 and is in charge of our in-house dental laboratory.Jacek has extensive knowledge in dental prosthetics especially same day teeth and All-on 4 procedures. Jacek has attends courses in dental prosthetics and works together with Dr Silva and Dr Nuno Cintra in complex restorative cases. Jacek provides training to other dental technicians in various aspects of dental prosthetics.

Alexsandra Baum - Dental Technician

Alexsandra came to the UK in 2003 and has worked as a Dental Technician since 2004. Alexsandra has a special  interest in  fixed implant supported prosthesis and full ceramic restorations. 

Justyna Schwarz - Trainee Dental Technician

Justyna graduated in 2005 in Poland with a degree in Dental Technology. She spent two years working in a dental laboratory in Germany before moving to the UK. Justyna has extensive experience working on porcelain, crown design  and bridges. Justyna  joined our team at Brighton Implant Clinic in December 2009.

Vanda Novakova - Dental Technician

Vanda graduated from dental school in 1996 and has been a dental technician for the past 14 years and has attended various technical courses. Vanda joined Brighton Implant Clinic in June 2010. In her spare time Vanda bakes excellent cakes!

Linda EdVanda Novakovas - Lab Technician

Linda has spent the last 18 years as a lab technician in her native Northamptonshire, she has lived in Hove for the past 12 months and been with the Brighton Implant Clinic since we opened April 2009.

She is also a receptionist an can occasionally be found assisting Glyn and Sarah on the front desk.

Elaine Gill - Facial Rejuvenation

Elaine is a Registered General Nurse and Midwife and has completed training in dermal filler treatments and treatments for lines and wrinkles.

Glyn Johnson - Receptionist

Glyn has been working with Dr Silva for the past 9 years and heads up the front of house team at the Implant Clinic.

Sophie De L'Orme - Receptionist

Sophie graduated in 2008 with a BA honours degree in English language with Creative Writing, since then she has taken journalism placements at newspapers and magazines. Sophie has also worked in childcare and fashion. Sophie is really enjoying her new role at Brighton Implant Clinic and learning about dentistry.

Joanne Cowper - Receptionist

Joanne graduated with an honours degree in International Relations in 2008 and has spent the last three years working in customer service for two well known companies. Joanne hopes to use these skills to progress into a managerial position.

Joanna Gorecka - Head of Admin

Joanna is Dr Silva's  PA who heads up our administrative department and general day to day management of Dr Silva's business activities.

She has a masters degree in administration, Joanna has been Dr Silva's PA for the past 2 years

Sarah Sibley - Administrator

Sarah joined the clinic in October 2009. She has a degree in Environmental Biology and is looking to train as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist this year. Sarah photographs implant surgery and documents patient's treatment progress.

Deborah Preston - Accountant

Deborah is a Part Qualified ACCA Accountant who has lived in Brighton and Hove for 16 years.  She has worked for a variety of private, public and charitable institutions as a Management Accountant and joins the practice following 11 months travelling round and living in Australia.

Emma Dace - Graphic Design & Admin

Emma graduated in 2006 in Graphic Design and Multimedia, She is originally from Brighton and worked as a Graphic Designer for 3 years before joining the practice in July 2009 to assist in the Design and Marketing of the company.
